Landlord networking events in London: meet the people who make letting easier

Where London landlords meet brokers, agents, solicitors and each other, what's on this autumn, and what to ask now the Renters' Rights Act is live.

· Chris Tremlett

The best landlord networking events in London this autumn are the National Landlord Investment Show (28 October), the monthly pin and Central London Property Network meetups, the Progressive Property Network hubs, and our own UK Homes Network LIVE London on 19 November in Walthamstow. Each puts you in a room with other landlords and the people who make letting easier: mortgage brokers, letting and management agents, insurers, solicitors and accountants. Landlord networking events in London: where landlords meet

London landlords tend to meet in three kinds of room. Each one suits a different job, and most landlords we know use a mix.

Landlord shows

The National Landlord Investment Show comes to London on Wednesday 28 October 2026. Tickets are free, and the programme includes Renters' Rights Act training, new investor masterclasses and Property Developer Live, alongside an exhibitor floor and networking. It's aimed at landlords, investors and letting agents. No 2027 London date has been published yet.

Looking further ahead, the Property Investor Show runs at ExCeL London from Friday 16 to Sunday 18 April 2027. It's free to register and built for UK landlords, passive investors and overseas buyers, with exhibitors and seminar theatres. Our guide to property shows in London covers the big daytime expos in more detail.

Monthly landlord meetups

If you want to see the same faces every month, the regular evening meetups are where landlord relationships build up over time.

  • pin (property investors network) runs two active London meetings, Blackfriars and Clapham. Each evening has mortgage and lettings market updates, two speakers and a service-provider break. Meetings are £25 including VAT, or £15 a month as a member, and pin offers a free first meeting with a promo code.
  • Central London Property Network meets monthly at the London Bridge Hotel with themed panels. The 28 October evening is a Budget Special with an HMO focus, which makes it one of the most landlord-relevant nights of the autumn. Tickets for November were listed at £27.80.
  • Progressive Property Network (PPN) has London hubs in Stratford, Islington (PPN Holborn), Farringdon (PPN Blackfriars), Stanmore and Bromley. Each runs monthly with expert speakers and networking. Prices aren't shown on PPN's own site, so check with the hub host before you go.

Evening exhibitions

An evening exhibition mixes the two: a social night out with a floor full of the businesses landlords actually use. That's the format we run.

Why landlords are networking more now: the Renters' Rights Act

The biggest reason London landlords have been turning up to events this year is the Renters' Rights Act. It received Royal Assent on 27 October 2025, and the main tenancy changes came into effect in England on 1 May 2026. Here's what the government says has changed, in brief.

This is a summary, not advice. How the rules apply to your tenancies depends on your own situation, so talk to a solicitor or your letting agent. That's exactly the kind of conversation a good landlord event makes easy: you can ask three solicitors and two agents the same question in one evening and see whose answer makes sense.

What we notice at our events is that landlords now arrive with sharper questions. A year ago the talk was mostly about yields and refinancing. This year it's possession grounds, rent review processes and whether to self-manage or hand over to an agent.

The landlord question bank

The fastest way to get value from a landlord event is to walk in with the right questions for the right people. Pick a topic below. Each question tells you who to ask.

Landlord question bank

Choose a topic. Screenshot the list or keep it open on your phone on the night.

  • "Now section 21 has gone, which possession grounds do your landlord clients actually rely on, and what evidence do they keep?" Ask: a solicitor.
  • "What does a good rent review process look like under the new rules, and what notice and paperwork do you use?" Ask: a letting agent or solicitor.
  • "How are you preparing clients for the Private Rented Sector Database, and what information should I have ready?" Ask: a letting or management agent.
  • "How do you handle pet requests so the decision and the reasons are properly recorded?" Ask: a letting agent.
  • "Which compliance checks do you see landlords miss most often?" Ask: a management agent or solicitor.
  • "Does my landlord insurance cover legal expenses for possession claims, and has that changed this year?" Ask: an insurance broker.
  • "Which lenders are you placing most buy-to-let cases with right now, and why?" Ask: a mortgage broker.
  • "My fix ends next year. When should I start looking, and what will a lender want to see?" Ask: a mortgage broker.
  • "What would a lender want to see before refinancing an HMO or multi-unit block?" Ask: a broker or specialist lender.
  • "When does bridging make sense for a landlord, and what's a realistic exit?" Ask: a bridging lender or broker.
  • "How do lenders stress-test rent on a portfolio application?" Ask: a mortgage broker.
  • "What does your tenant referencing include, and how long does it take?" Ask: a letting agent.
  • "What's the real difference between let-only, rent collection and full management for a landlord like me?" Ask: a letting or management agent.
  • "How do you price a rental now that you can't accept offers above the advertised rent?" Ask: a letting agent.
  • "What's your process when a tenant falls into arrears?" Ask: a management agent or solicitor.
  • "Which areas of London are you seeing the strongest tenant demand in?" Ask: agents and other landlords.
  • "How do you handle communication so small issues don't become disputes?" Ask: other landlords.
  • "What does a typical turnaround look like between tenancies, from keys back to relet?" Ask: a refurb or furnishing firm.
  • "What's in a furniture package for a rental, and how long does it last?" Ask: a furnishing company.
  • "Who do you use for emergency repairs out of hours, and what does it cost?" Ask: other landlords or a management agent.
  • "Which upgrades make the biggest difference to energy efficiency for the money?" Ask: a contractor or surveyor.
  • "Does my policy cover accidental damage and loss of rent during works?" Ask: an insurance broker.
  • "At what point does a limited company start to make sense for a landlord with my number of properties?" Ask: an accountant.
  • "What would moving existing properties into a company actually trigger?" Ask: an accountant and a solicitor.
  • "How should I be recording costs so my tax return is straightforward?" Ask: an accountant.
  • "What records will I need for Making Tax Digital, and when does it affect me?" Ask: an accountant.
  • "How do other landlords structure ownership with a partner or family member?" Ask: an accountant, then a solicitor.

Who to meet at a landlord event

Most landlords leave an event with a pocket full of business cards from the wrong people. Use this checklist to make sure you speak to the ones that matter. It saves your progress in your browser, so you can tick people off on the night.

For openers and follow-up messages that don't feel salesy, see our guide on how to network at property events. If you're thinking about growing a portfolio rather than running one, our page on property investor networking events in London is the better next read.

Are landlord networking events worth it?

For most landlords, yes, if you choose the right room and go with a purpose. A free show is good for a day of seminars and browsing. A monthly meetup builds relationships slowly. An evening exhibition lets you meet a broker, a solicitor, an insurer and a handful of other landlords in one night.

The value usually comes from one or two conversations: the agent who takes a problem property off your hands, or the broker who spots a better product before your fix ends. As Emma from Capital Rise Estates put it after our Birmingham night, "It's full of really great people, the food is also insane. 10 out of 10."

Come and meet London's landlords on 19 November. UK Homes Network LIVE London is our evening exhibition at Big Penny Social, about ten minutes' walk from Blackhorse Road station. Over 18s, smart casual, 250+ expected. Tickets are on Eventbrite, or read more about our London property event.

Are landlord networking events worth it?

They are if you go with a clear aim. The best landlord networking events in London put you in front of brokers, agents, solicitors, insurers and accountants in one place, and let you compare answers from other landlords. One good introduction, such as a broker who saves you money on a refinance, usually covers the cost of a ticket many times over.

Are there free landlord events in London?

Yes. The National Landlord Investment Show offers free tickets for its London show on 28 October 2026, and the Property Investor Show at ExCeL is free to register. pin offers a free first meeting with a promo code. Our guide to free property networking events in London lists more options, and we update it every month.

What should landlords ask at a property event?

Ask a broker which lenders they're using for buy-to-let right now, ask a solicitor which possession grounds clients rely on since section 21 ended, ask an agent what's included in full management, and ask an accountant when a limited company starts to make sense. Use the question bank on this page to plan your questions by topic before you go.

Do landlord events cover the Renters' Rights Act?

Many do. The National Landlord Investment Show lists Renters' Rights Act training in its seminar programme, and pin meetings include lettings market updates. At an evening exhibition you can put your specific questions to solicitors and letting agents face to face. For anything about your own tenancies, take advice from a solicitor or your letting agent.

What should I wear to a landlord meetup?

Smart casual is right for almost all landlord meetups and evening events in London, including UK Homes Network LIVE London. Some senior networking events at private members' clubs have stricter dress codes, so check the listing. Bring a phone with your contact details ready to share, and something to note down names and follow-ups.
