UK Homes Network is moving to Gatha

UK Homes Network is becoming Gatha, the social media platform for UK property. What changes, what stays, and how to move your profile.

· Chris Tremlett

If you're a property developer, landlord or investor on the UK Homes Network app, here's the short version. The app is becoming Gatha. Same members, same industry, and a platform we own outright this time.

We soft-launched Gatha at our Leeds event on 24 September. The full launch is on Thursday 19 November 2026 at UK Homes Network LIVE London. Below is what's changing, what's staying, and what you need to do.

Why UK Homes Network is becoming Gatha

It started with the app

UK Homes Network launched as a platform in January 2024. Developers, landlords, investors and the businesses around them joined to talk property without getting buried under recruiters, influencers and holiday photos.

Then something happened that we hadn't planned. Members kept messaging each other and meeting up. They asked us for a proper reason to get in a room together.

So we built one. That's where our property networking events came from. This year we ran UK Homes Network LIVE in Birmingham, Manchester and Leeds, and in September we were named Best Property Networking Event of the Year at the National Property Awards.

Now the platform catches up

The events grew fast. The app needed to keep up.

Gatha is the answer. New platform, new brand, new apps, built for UK property professionals. We own it outright, so we decide what it does and who it's for.

The name changes. The company stays the same. UK Homes Network Limited is still the company behind all of it. Gatha is the trading name and the platform you'll use. The founders, the team and the events are staying put.

What is Gatha?

Gatha is the social media platform for UK property. It's where developers, landlords, investors, brokers, surveyors, architects, trades and suppliers keep their professional network. If you're not in property, it isn't for you.

Six things a general social network won't do for you

1. Property only

One industry. No students, no bots, nobody trying to sell you search rankings.

2. No algorithm deciding who sees your posts

You post, and it reaches the people who follow you. All of them.

3. Jobs

Trades and developers list jobs straight from site. Browse by role and postcode.

4. Projects

Developments for sale or looking for investment, filtered by strategy. Handy if you're a property investor looking for deals, or a developer looking for money.

5. Role tags

Content is filtered by what people actually do. Landlords see landlord stuff. Developers see developer stuff. No hashtag guesswork.

6. Real profiles

Your profile is a portfolio. Your work is your profile.

Step 3: Request your move from October

Migration opens on request from October 2026. Email [email protected] and ask for your profile to be moved across.

Step 4: Sign in with a password reset

Once your profile has moved, download Gatha from the App Store or Google Play, where the UK Homes Network app lives today. Then sign in with a password reset.

Property networking: your questions answered

The questions people in property ask most about networking and social media.

What is the best social media platform for property developers?

Depends what you want from it. General platforms are fine for reaching the public and marketing finished homes. But if you're after investors, trades, joint venture partners or other developers, a property-only platform works better, because everyone on it is in the industry. That's what Gatha is for.

How do landlords network with other landlords?

Most do a bit of both, online and in person. Online, a property networking app lets you ask questions, compare notes on tenants and compliance, and find trades you can trust. In person, property networking events put faces to names. Gatha covers the first. Our LIVE events cover the second.

Is social media worth it for property investors?

Yes, if you're on the right platform. Property deals still move through relationships. If the right developers, sourcers and brokers can see you, you're more likely to hear about opportunities early, off-market property deals included.

Do property developers really use social media?

Most of them, yes. One study of UK property developers found around 9 in 10 used Instagram and over 8 in 10 used a professional networking site. It was a small sample, 29 developers between 2020 and 2021, but it matches what we see. Developers are online. The question is whether their posts reach other property professionals or get lost in everything else.

How do I start networking in property as a beginner?

Keep it simple.

  1. Build a proper profile that shows what you do and what you're looking for.
  2. Follow people in your area and your strategy, whether that's buy-to-let, HMOs, development or commercial.
  3. Post regularly. Questions, lessons learned, project updates.
  4. Go to at least one property networking event, and actually follow up with the people you meet.

What's the difference between a property networking app and a property forum?

Forums are good for long questions and long answers. A property networking app is built around people and projects. You follow who you want, message directly, list jobs and projects, and keep your network in your pocket.
